Caramel-Nut Popcorn Crunch

Popped corn and pecans coated with a caramel syrup.

  • Serves: 16 servings (2/3 cup each)
  • Prep Time: 45 minutes
  • Cooking Time: 45 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1/2 Teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 Cup margarine
  • 1 Cup pecan halves
  • 1 bag (99 g each) Orville Redenbacher's® Gourmet® Buttery Flavour Microwave Popcorn
  • 1 *serving (1/3 sec spray) PAM® Original No-Stick Cooking Spray
  • 1/2 Teaspoon salt
  • 1 Cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 Cup light corn syrup

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F. Spray 13x9-inch baking pan with cooking spray. Prepare popcorn according to package directions. Remove all unpopped kernels. Place popped corn and pecans in pan; set aside.
  2. Melt margarine in medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Add brown sugar, syrup and salt; bring to a boil and boil 2 minutes, stirring constantly with wooden spoon. Remove from heat. Stir in baking soda; mix well. Pour over popcorn mixture and toss gently to coat evenly.
  3. Bake 15 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes. Remove from oven; stir again. Spread onto parchment paper to cool thoroughly. Store caramel corn in tightly sealed container.
